About Grand View Animal Hospital
The name Grand View is inspired by the beauty that surrounds us. Grand Junction is located in a valley, surrounded by various geographical landforms. Grand Mesa, the Bookcliffs, and Colorado National Monument grace the horizon in each of 3 directions.
Dr. TerLouw graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 2002. He began his veterinary career in Arizona, moving back to Colorado in 2006, and has been practicing in the Grand Junction area ever since. Dr. TerLouw is pleased to continue providing care to area pets as the owner of Grand View Animal Hospital.
Bonny has been a Veterinary Technician for 20 years. She has assisted Dr. TerLouw for the last ten of those years. She opened GVAH in 2014 with Dr. TerLouw and is currently obtaining her nursing degree at CMU. A busy mom of three, she enjoys the outdoors with her family and Boxer dog, Leroy.
Dana is a Certified Veterinary Technician of 13 years, working at GVAH since its opening in December 2014. Prior to working in veterinary medicine, she had earned a BS in Animal Science with a minor in Biology from Washington State and a AS in Applied Veterinary Science from College of Southern Idaho. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her husband and 3 sons. A cat named Jack completes her family.
Sheila has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 1998. She lives on her family farm in Collbran, happily surrounded by nature and farm animals. When she is not doing farm chores, she enjoys riding her horse, camping with family, rafting on the river and reading. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, cats, horse, cows, chickens, and honey bees.
Heidi is a Nevada Native and moved to Colorado 20 years ago. Her background is in the care and rehab of wildlife. She is the proud mom of 2 daughters, 2 dogs, and 1 very demanding cat. Her spare time is spent gardening, sewing, camping, and traveling. She and her loving husband, a Grand Junction firefighter/engineer, and Hawaiian citizen, look forward to the future, with plans to eventually return to Hawaii for retirement.
Lori has been a Certified Veterinary Technician for 13 years and still loves what she does. She, her husband, and three children have two dogs, 3 cats, and a ball python. They live in Grand Junction and spend as much time as possible hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Lori has been with us a brief time, but states that she absolutely loves her coworkers!
